Student Parking

Key Points for Students:

Missouri S&T requires parking permits for all campus lots (excluding metered spaces). License Plate Recognition (LPR) will be used to verify permits.

Permit Validity

Parking permits are valid from August 1 to July 31 and must be renewed annually.

Permit Areas

Each permit is valid for a specific lot. Students can request permits based on availability and priority.

Permits are assigned based on the following priority:

  • Students living in residence halls (by class seniority)
  • Students renewing permits
  • Graduate Teaching Assistants
  • Seniors
  • Juniors
  • Sophomores
  • Freshmen
  • All others (first come, first served)
  • Permits will be available in the parking portal by eligible group. Once an area's max number of permits are sold, the lot will no longer appear as an available listing.

Permit Information

Keep your vehicle and license plate information current in the parking portal to avoid citations.

Permit Fees

August 1, 2024 - July 31, 2025 permits are $180 for the year. Fees are pro-rated based on purchase date, decreasing by $15 per month.

Multi-Vehicle Use

Students can register multiple vehicles under one permit for alternate use. Only one vehicle may park on campus at a time.

Special Permit Access

  • Motorcycle Permits: Valid only in designated motorcycle spaces.
  • Area X: Open to all permits during building hours.
