Student Parking

Key Points for Students:

Missouri S&T requires parking permits for all campus lots (excluding metered spaces). License Plate Recognition (LPR) will be used to verify permits.

Permit Validity

Parking permits are valid from August 1 to July 31 and must be renewed annually.

Permit Areas

Each permit is valid for a specific lot. Students can request permits based on availability and priority.

Permit Sales:

Permits are available in the parking portal. Once an area's max number of permits are sold, the lot will no longer appear as an available listing.

2026-2027 Permit Sales Schedule:

Students Living in Residence Halls

  • Graduate/Seniors/Juniors – 7/6/26
  • Sophomores – 7/9/26
  • Freshman - 7/13/26

Students Living Off Campus

    • Graduate/Seniors – 7/16/26
    • Juniors – 7/20/2026
    • Sophomores – 7/23/2026
    • Freshman – 7/27/2026
  • Permits will be available in the parking portal by eligible group. Once an area's max number of permits are sold, the lot will no longer appear as an available listing. 
  • Students may only purchase one parking pass for one lot location. 

Permit Information

Keep your vehicle and license plate information current in the parking portal to avoid citations.

Permit Fees

August 1, 2026 - July 31, 2027 permits fees are $228 for the year. Fees are pro-rated based on purchase date, decreasing by $19/month.

Multi-Vehicle Use

Students can register up to three vehicles under one permit for alternate use. Only one vehicle may park on campus at a time.

Special Permit Access

  • Motorcycle Permits: Valid only in designated motorcycle spaces.
  • Lot J and X: Open to all permits during building hours.

All Students: 

  • Pass Validation Zones are are located in the following locations:
    • Lot X offers one complimentary 3-hour parking session per day for Rec Center patrons. 
    • Lot T allows one complimentary 30-minute parking session per day for TJ Dining Hall patrons during lunch. Lot T is not monitored during breakfast and dinner hours.
  • Look for the parking registration QR code near the entrances of the Gale Bullman Building and TJ Hall. If you do not have a valid parking permit for these lots, you must register your vehicle each time you use one of these lots.

Student Athletes

  • All student athletes must register for a Student Athlete Parking Permit to park in Lot X. 

Metered Parking

Parking meters are available in many campus parking lots. Download the AMP digital meter app to utilize metered parking on campus.
